Week 1 Heading into Week 2... guns, butter, photography, no electricity
So... the first week of keeping my promise to not use electricity, specifically my cell phone and/ or computer didn't really work out. I was at the airport and needed to communicate to other parties that my flight itinerary had changed, so that was out of the window. I'm sure Nicole is talking shit about me, but I think that her idea, whatever it is, is less cool than mine.
Heading into this coming Sunday I am starting to panic knowing that I have commited to a full 8 hours without turning on/ checking cell phone, computer and other electronic things (lights, stove). I have an exhibition I need to prepare for that has come up at the last minute and the prints have to be completed by Monday, however there is a LOT of stuff I need to do to get these images in shape before hand. Essentially I need to pull some late nights this week so that I can be sure that I am finished by Sunday morning. On the other hand, Sunday will now be open for other things that I need to accomplish, but don't necessarily make enough time for such as reading photo theory, shooting photos and/or guns, working out, writing free-hand, cross-stitching, and churning butter.
I've also taken on more free-lance work, and won't be able to schedule any of that stuff on Sunday which will be a pain in the ass. Oh well. I can waste 8 hours when using all that technology, so if anything it will just make me have to be more responsible and more organized.
